This should be a short match report.

The Reserves's horrendous away form in all competitions continued to follow us into the LOB Olympian Cup. That form (including friendlies) reads as;

Availability... and to some extent commitment... has played its part in these results... and to be fair, is something I was warned about when I joined. Lots of good players in the team, but the inability to field the same backbone of a team on a week to week basis has been a real headache.
Another shortfall of players for both Club teams meant that we were reorganising and calling up players right up until Friday evening and again some more on the Saturday morning. We were left with a team of 12 players, most of whom were wingers... against a side who only a week ago were top of the table in our division. Only 20 minutes before kick-off did I find out that one of those 12 wasn't coming... leaving us down to the bare bones.
The lack of a central spine, meant we were asking a number of the team to play out of position and asking too much of those players who were in their normal positions to out-perform a strong side of regulars. I certainly cannot knock the commitment of those that turned out, who kept working and going throughout the 90 minutes.
Broms were simply too strong... far stronger than the side we met in the League in late September... and with a number of different faces. They gave us a few half chances in the first half, but very little of anything in the second. The fact that we were unable to string more than 3 passes together and a goalkeeper who couldn't stay on his feet, also played its part.

The outcome from this is that we simply cannot continue the way we are. The league is now obviously our only point of focus for the rest of this season as we are in 3rd position and still in a good position to challenge for the title. But, we are now presented with an ideal opportunity to plan and build for the future...
... only committed players need apply.
