The Club is looking for a referee to officiate at Reserve Team home games
Updated - Wednesday 13 August 2008
In the Amateur Football Combination most senior teams are appointed officials by a League refereeing committee. The lower teams or those in the regional divisions are usually responsible for finding and allocating their own referees for home games.
Our Reserve Team is affected by this and as such is on the lookout for a reliable and honest individual to act as Club appointed referee for home games at Croham Manor Road, South Croydon on an ad hoc basis.
No particular experience or qualifications are necessary, although an honest disposition, strong character and a knowledge of the laws of the game are deemed essential.
Our Reserves and other clubs that play their football in the Amateur Football Combination are on the whole a very friendly and understanding group of individuals and accept that honest mistakes are part and parcel of the game of football... and disrespectful treatment of officials is frowned upon by both the AFC and the Old Whitgiftian Association Football Club.
As a Club appointed referee you will receive;
This role is ideal for someone wanting a friendly introduction to refereeing a good standard of football, an ex-player, or even a retired referee wanting to keep in touch with the game on a part time basis.

If you are interested, then the Club is very keen to hear from you. Either call me on the number listed or click on the email link and write me a few words.
