"PLAYER AWARDS & CLUB AGM"

On Saturday 17 May 2008, the Club's annual player awards ceremony was held in the Association's Clubhouse down at the Manor. The awards were presented by Vien Phan (Club Chairman), after which a number of drinks were downed before survivors made their way into South Croydon for an end-of-season curry....

How the awards are chosen
Player of the Year - Awarded by the manager of each team and is made to the player he believes has made the biggest contribution to the team on and off the pitch over the course of the season.Players' Player of the Year - Awarded by the players and Club members of each team and is awarded to the player they believe has made the biggest contribution to the team on and off the pitch over the course of the season. Voting may have been decided by a man of the match vote after each game, a vote at the end of the season or a combination of both.
Top Goalscorer - Awarded to the player who has scored the most League and Cup goals over the course of the season.
Clubman of the Year - Awarded to the Club member who has done the most "behind the scenes" work for the Club to ensure that players get a good game of football each week. This award is chosen by all Club members.
Most Improved Player - Awarded to the player who has "improved" the most over the course of the season. This can be in either playing ability, application, attitude or a combination of all three.
